Our Crochet for All course welcomes complete beginners as well as experienced crocheters who want to refresh their skills, learn new techniques, or enjoy time spent creating in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Over 10 weeks, participants will cover:
Learning the Basics
How to hold the hook and yarn comfortably
Foundation chains and essential stitches such as double crochet, treble crochet and slip stitches
Understanding patterns, symbols and instructions
Building Skills
Creating small projects such as squares, scarves or simple accessories
Combining stitches to form textures and patterns
Working in rows and in the round, depending on ability
Advanced Techniques (for those ready to progress)
Shaping, joining and finishing techniques
Choosing appropriate yarns and hooks for different projects
Working on more detailed items such as blankets, garments or decorative pieces
What to Expect
The tutor adapts each session so that every participant can work at their own pace, making this class suitable for all levels. Whether you are picking up a hook for the first time or returning to a much-loved hobby, you will receive guidance and plenty of support.
Crochet is a calm, mindful activity that encourages creativity and connection. Many participants find it a welcome weekly break where they can focus on learning something new in a friendly group setting.
Crèche places are available for mothers attending the class.
