Who We Are

Waterside Women’s Centre is a welcoming, inclusive community space supporting women and families across the Waterside and wider Derry/Londonderry area. For over 30 years, we have worked to reduce isolation, remove barriers, and create opportunities for women to learn, connect, and thrive.

At the heart of our work is a belief that every woman deserves access to support, education, and wellbeing services in a safe and respectful environment. We offer a wide range of affordable and often free programmes, including wellbeing and mental health support, creative and educational courses, early years and family activities, and community events. Many of our activities are supported by on-site childcare, helping women who may otherwise be unable to take part.

We work closely with local partners, funders, and statutory services to respond to the real needs of our community, particularly women and families experiencing disadvantage, isolation, or financial pressure. Our centre is open to women of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities, and we are committed to equality, inclusion, and good relations.

Whether you are looking for support, a course, a community connection, or a place to belong, Waterside Women’s Centre is here for you.
